What is the photographic project “Symbiosis”? What does it explore?

The photographic project “Symbiosis” explores the connection between humans and nature, viewing this relationship as a journey of self awareness .In our daily lives, amid the noise and intensity of modern existence, we often forget to connect with ourselves and with the natural traits that make us unique. Therefore, the need to reconnect with nature is more urgent than ever.

Through its silent presence, nature calls us to recognize our truth and our place in the world—like every leaf that, although different, remains connected to the whole. Through the rustling of trees, the warm sunlight, the flow of water, and the feeling of air, we seek our personal identity and our mark upon the world.

This project explores that perpetual relationship, emphasizing the connection between humans and nature as an exploration of our inner world.

What does nature mean to you? How do you perceive the relationship between humans and nature?

For me, nature is a way to escape from everyday life, as its images, scents, and sounds help me connect with my emotions and recognize my true identity. Between humans and nature, there is no separation—only a continuous interaction, an invisible connection that reveals itself through observation, silence, and sensation. Every trace, every gaze, uncovers an inner truth that resonates within nature and creates a dialogue with myself, offering a safe space for emotional awareness and introspection.

Thus, nature acts as a mirror, revealing a sense of immediacy and authenticity that can rejuvenate our inner world.

Is this your first conceptual project? If so, could you describe the process of its development — from the initial inspiration to completion?

Yes, it is my first conceptual project. The inspiration emerged from my own personal relationship with nature and from the need to share the inner transformation that this connection offered me. I wanted to capture both the psychological and philosophical benefits of this relationship, as I experienced them.

As the project evolved, I realized that through photography, I was not only exploring nature but also myself. It was a journey of self-discovery. I hope that viewers, too, can find their own reflection within these images.

What are the “spotlights” you would like to highlight or convey through your work?

Through my work, I want to show how essential our connection with nature is—not only on a psychological level but also on an existential one. Nature helps us reconnect with ourselves, find calmness, and remember who we truly are.

I also want to emphasize how fragile this relationship is. We live in a time when nature is being rapidly destroyed, and that deeply saddens me. For me, photography becomes a way to remind others of the value of nature and the need to protect it. It is not something outside of us—it is a part of who we are.

When you completed the photographic series, what emotions did you experience?

I felt a deep sense of fulfillment. Every time I photograph in nature, it feels as though I come closer to myself. This series was a quiet yet powerful experience—it helped me pause, listen, and truly feel.

Do you believe it is important for a photographer to communicate their work to the audience, and why?

Yes, I believe it is important for a photographer to communicate their work to the audience. Photography is not just an image; it carries within it an experience, an intention, an emotion. When the creator shares the "why" behind their work, the piece gains voice and depth. Moreover, through this communication, a dialogue is born. The viewer can see something of themselves in the work, and this connection is invaluable. For me, communicating my work is a form of sharing—and sharing always holds power.
