Moments Collective Selected International Photographers of the week
Eleni's self-portraits within these ruins are nothing short of captivating. She positions herself amidst the remnants of human endeavors, forming a poignant juxtaposition between vitality and decay. The choice to place herself in the frame is not mere narcissism; it's a deliberate artistic decision to channel her emotions, vulnerabilities, and strengths into the scenes. The resulting images transcend self-portraiture, morphing into visual poems that speak of the universal passage of time and the impermanence of existence.
What sets Eleni Panagiotidou apart is her storytelling prowess. Each photograph is a chapter in her visual narrative, inviting viewers to step into her shoes and experience the world as she does. She doesn't merely present the surface; she delves deep into her emotions, weaving tales that resonate on a personal level. Her art photography is a reflection of her intimate conversations with herself, framed within the context of her surroundings.

One of Warner's exceptional talents lies in his ability to capture fleeting moments, freezing them in time for eternity. His street photography is not about staged scenes, but rather a candid glimpse into the raw and unfiltered realities of life. Whether it's a solitary figure bathed in a pool of light cast by a streetlamp or a group of friends sharing laughter in the midst of urban chaos, Warner's lens captures the essence of human interactions and the stories they tell.
But his photography goes beyond technical prowess. It is infused with a distinct artistic vision that transforms the mundane into the extraordinary. He possesses the rare ability to find beauty in the ordinary and to evoke emotions through seemingly simple scenes. His images are not just photographs; they are windows into the human experience, inviting viewers to reflect, connect, and interpret.

Marinos Karamanian's journey as a travel photographer began with a profound love for exploration. The idea of traversing through different cultures, witnessing diverse landscapes, and experiencing the essence of each place fascinated him. However, what truly set Marinos apart was his unique approach to photography. He didn't just want to capture what his eyes saw, but rather what his heart felt.
"I believe every place has a story to tell," Marinos often remarks. "And I want to capture that story through my lens."
His specialization in photographing the landscapes of the USA and Europe isn't a coincidence. These two continents have served as the backdrop for countless iconic films, making them a treasure trove of cinematic references.
"When I'm in the USA, I can't help but recall all the movies set against the stunning American landscapes," Marinos muses. "And in Europe, every cobblestone street feels like it holds a piece of cinematic history."

Meet our Supporters Hellenic American Union
Culture has been at the heart of our mission and activities since our founding in 1957.
Over the years, our galleries and theater have presented the work of hundreds - photographers, musicians, performers and other artists from the US, Greece and elsewhere in Europe. Many, such as Joseph Beuys, Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, Joseph Kosuth, Theodoros Antoniou, Bruce Davidson, Marie Wilson and Nan Goldin, were already prominent artists at the time of the event. Others, such as Mimis Plessas, Karolos Koun, and Opi Zouni, were in the early years of their career when they appeared at the Hellenic American Union. This variety is deliberate and reflects our commitment to enabling young, talented artists to present their work to a broad public of all ages and backgrounds.
