Eva Berler Solo Exhibition "One Gaze, One Touch" - 18-28 September 2026
What does it mean to leave traces that perhaps no one will ever see? What small miracles of nature take center stage? How many forms can an object, or a single moment, take?
Award-winning photographer Eva Berler explores these questions through a trilogy of photobooks that come together as one continuous journey. Their shared purpose is to draw the viewer into the artist’s world and offer a moment of calm away from the visual noise of everyday life.
The exhibition One Gaze, One Touch looks back at this journey, beginning with her first photobook, Little Miracles, published in 2022, and ending with her latest work, Lifted, released on September 18.
Berler moves through the story in reverse, from digital to analog. She lets the two mediums meet and play off each other, reworking each image into a unique piece that cannot be repeated.
This process continues to inspire her and gives her space to keep experimenting. Her photographs follow a path that feels both personal and one of a kind. In many ways, the process mirrors life itself, shaped by constant change and transformation.
Curator’s Note
Photographer Eva Berler's gaze has approached the seemingly invisible, has metaphorically touched those simple details that exist around us at every moment. Three photographic sections, three books, one exhibition. But one and only Gaze at reality, which connects all the creative elements with each other.
In an era where we are increasingly moving away from the handmade and turning towards the digital, Eva Berler chooses to return from the digital to the handmade. It is a very interesting, and at the same time fascinating process, not only photographic but also creative, and on a deeper level, particularly philosophical. Those of us who have the fortunate (or unfortunate?) privilege of having experienced the analog and digital eras of humanity, but also the - often awkward - transition from one state to the other, can perceive this very interesting internal transformation.
Our gaze in this exhibition sometimes moves away and sometimes comes closer. But perhaps the greatest meaning is found here in the focus on the subtle, on that hidden divine, the poetic that exists around us daily - usually unnoticed. In the spaces around us, there is ultimately the gaze of the photographer, the gaze of the viewer, and the gaze of the images themselves...

Presentation and book signings of the photobooks will be on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 18.30. Speaking about the books will be Joanna Vasdeki, curator of the exhibition and of the photobook "Lifted", and Penny Economakis, photographer and writer.

Short Bio
She has been engaged in artistic photography since 2019, focusing on nature, urban landscape, macro and abstract photography. She looks for beauty, magic and poetry in the everyday, creating her own microcosm ("my little mundane world").
She has published the photobooks: “Little Miracles” in December 2022 (iFocus Editions) and “Tracing the Unseen” in February 2026 (self-published). Her third photobook “Lifted” (self-published) will be presented during her upcoming new solo exhibition “One Gaze, One Touch” at Nezer Collective. iFocus photo gallery hosted her solo exhibitions in May 2023 and November 2024. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad (London, Tokyo, Milan, Berlin, Barcelona, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Glasgow, York, Montreux, Basel, Hanoi and Busan), and her work has been featured in collective photobooks and online press in Greece and internationally.
Her work has been distinguished in international competitions, with the most important distinction being 1st place in the Wildlife & Nature category (Professional competition) at the 2024 Sony World Photo Awards. Since then, she was longlisted twice for the Aesthetica Art Prize, and awarded at the LICC, the FotoSlovo Awards, PX3 awards among others. Her book “Tracing the Unseen” was part of the Athens Photo Festival Book Program. Part of her “Suspended worlds” series are included in the permanent contemporary collection of the Museum of Avant-garde in Switzerland.
