Arja Heinonen Riganas was born and raised in Finland. After high school, she studied marketing at a business school and after her studies she moved to Athens where she still lives. She works in a Finnish Property Management company and she is amateur photographer since 2017.

She has attended photography seminars at Pragma Seminars 2017-2018 and at METApolis 2018-2020 as well as some photography workshops. From 2021 she attends street photography seminars led by Andreas Kamoutsis.She has taken part in several group photography exhibitions.Some of her photographs have been published in print and online magazines.She is member of women street photographers from 4/2021 when she was one of the finalists in women street photographers virtual exhibition.

She takes a careful and deliberate approach to street photography, paying attention to a wide range of elements such as light and shadow, the rule of thirds, leading lines, symmetry, shapes, texture, patterns, intriguing faces, characters, and the body language of people. Her meticulous focus on these details distinguishes her work, transforming her photographs from simple snapshots into captivating narratives captured in a single moment.

Anna Papachristou, a psychologist based in Greece, breaks the mold as a photographer. In her professional life, she is dedicated to working with individuals who have Down syndrome at the Down Syndrome Association of Greece. In 2011, she made a significant shift in her career by establishing the first photography group in Greece that caters specifically to people with disabilities. Anna's decision to blend her expertise as a psychologist with her love for photography was innovative. She identified the healing potential of art, particularly photography, as a tool for self-expression and empowerment for individuals with disabilities. The photography group she founded provided a platform for these individuals to unleash their creativity, challenge societal perceptions, and cultivate a sense of community.
