Elefsina Photography Club organizes from December 9 to December 17 the multi-
thematic events & ''DAYS WITH PHOTOGRAPHY IN ELEFSINA'' at the Old Town Hall of Elefsina.
This year's event focuses on Conceptual Art photography, in which the photographer
stages an image, usually with an allegorical or conceptual basis.
The main core of the Elefsina Photography Days includes two group exhibitions of
photography, curated and introduced by Ypatia Kornarou. The main exhibition, which
will be located on the first floor of the old Town Hall of Elefsina, has resulted from the creations of the club members who had participated in this year's photography
seminar on ''Conceptual Art photography''

A multimedia presentation of the photography exhibition will be shown in the small
hall.
At the same time, on the ground floor of the building, the selected photographic
frames resulting from the workshop ''The journey to be the reality'' will be exhibited.

Students of interior architecture and object design also participate with the art
installation, a photo composition entitled “Insecrecies”. The events will conclude with
a public talk on therapeutic photography by Nancy Psimenatou and the presentation
of photographic work by members of the Elefsina club.
The purpose of the multi-thematic events is to create the conditions so that the art of
photography can connect and interact with other arts.

Curator Ypatia Kornarou
Curator Ypatia Kornarou was born in Athens where she takes pictures and lives. She firstly studied economics and continued her studies in photography.
She has been dealing with artistic photography since she launched her career in the photographic world. She has participated in International and Domestic Photo Festivals.
She writes articles and presents photographic material in the magazine “Photonet”. Several times her thoughts on photography have been hosted along with photos of her, on important sites (“Photologio”, “Nexus Media”, “Lifetone”, “PolisMagazino”). From 2009 until today she photographs Theater and Dance Festival (“Young Artists – The 12 Coupes”, “Contemporary Dance-Compartments Dance Project” at “Train in Rouf”).
She mainly deals with the photography of theatrical and dance performances. In her evolution, the moment when she feels ready to communicate thoughts and feelings came, attempting to create photographic projects. Last year, she has been actively involved in social media, especially on Instagram, where important international photography communities continue to present her photographic work.
She recently transmeet her knowledge in photography seminars organized by art schools or places of creation and art (Tabula Rasa, Orneraki School, Compass Theater, Spring People, etc.). Every photo shoot for her is a quest, only the dive occurs mainly in the unconscious.
